Perspectives Piece Examines Seasonal Hurricane Predictions

Gabriel Vecchi, a lecturer in the Department of Geosciences and the AOS Program and a GFDL researcher, is the co-author of a Perspectives piece on seasonal hurricane predictions appearing in Science February 7.   The piece discusses the current state and ways forward on seasonal hurricane prediction, including prediction verification, learning from failed predictions, and correctly describing and communicating uncertainty.
