The BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award in Climate Change was recently granted to Isaac Held, a lecturer with rank of Professor in the AOS program and senior research scientist at GFDL, “for his fundamental and pioneering contributions to our understanding of the structure of atmospheric circulation systems and the role of water vapor – the most important greenhouse gas – in climate change.”  full story
