Elke U. Weber, the Gerhard R. Andlinger Professor in Energy and the Environment, Professor of Psychology and Public Affairs, and Robert Keohane, Professor of Public and International Affairs, Emeritus, and their team will touch upon how social scientists can contribute to “Rapid Switch,” a five-year effort at Princeton that will examine pathways and obstacles to the decarbonization of energy systems, especially, at first, in India and the United States. Their early-stage research design for the social sciences emphasizes original field-based research into preferences and social dynamics, spanning levels of analysis from the individual to community groups and political units. This event is the third in the Fall 2019 CFI Seminar Series.
